Creating a profile and applying online
Our online recruiting system allows you to create a candidate profile that you can update and change anytime. Explore our current job openings at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. To apply, click the “Apply for this position online” button, where you will be prompted to create an account or log in to your existing account. Selection process and notifications
Once you’ve applied, a member of our recruitment team will review your credentials, and notify you via email regarding the status of your application. If you are selected for an interview, you will receive an invitation with further details (normally within 24 hours). You may view the status of your application at any time by logging in to your profile. In some instances, additional or follow-up interviews may take place.
Offers and onboarding
If you are the chosen candidate for a position, you will be contacted by a Human Resources representative with details of the job offer. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of required pre-employment screenings. When you accept the offer, you will receive official paperwork regarding employment and the onboarding process as we welcome you to our team!

Scholarship Opportunities
Pawnee Valley Community Hospital offers sources of educational assistance including continuing education and tuition assistance. The amount of financial assistance, unless specifically stated by the financial sources, is dependent upon the needs of the individual, the needs of Pawnee Valley Community Hospital and available funding.
Tuition Reimbursement
Associates who have completed at least six (6) months of continuous employment may apply for tuition assistance by obtaining the appropriate enrollment forms from the hospital Internet under “Documents.” Approved Associates will be reimbursed on a fiscal year basis ($1,500 full time, $1,200 part time and $600 PRN) for approved courses in which they receive a grade of “C” or better or a passing grade if the course is taken on a pass/fail basis.
To be eligible for tuition reimbursement, courses must be:
- Directly related to the Associate’s current position or a position for which the organization anticipates immediate or future staffing needs to which the Associate can progress
- Part of a planned degree program in a field applicable to Pawnee Valley Community Hospital
- Taken on the Associate’s own time
- Taken at approved institutions, including accredited colleges and universities or vocational/technical schools
Auxiliary Scholarship
Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is committed to excellence in healthcare and makes every effort to support our incredible staff. As part of this commitment, our Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary awards annual healthcare scholarships. These scholarships consist of four renewable $500 scholarships that are split into $250 grants per semester.
