About Heather Holaday

Heather (Holaday) Woods was born in Great Bend, Kansas and raised in Garfield, Kansas. She attended Larned High School in Larned, Kansas. After graduating, Heather went on to Emporia State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014. She later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Fort Hays State University in 2020. Following graduation as an APRN, she completed a fellowship through the University of Kansas at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. Heather has spent her postgraduate career serving the Larned community.

Her prior nursing experience includes cardiac ICU, Emergency Department, acute care, skilled nursing, long-term care, urgent care, and family medicine. Heather is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Heather prides herself in serving her community to the best of her ability. Wound care is one of Heather’s primary areas of focus, and she has dedicated several years to providing these services at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. She treats a wide range of conditions, including traumatic injuries, surgical and non-healing wounds, pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, and more.

In addition, she sees a variety of patients in the family practice setting for acute visits one day a week. These visits address sudden, short-term illnesses or injuries, including but not limited to sick visits, lacerations, and wounds.

In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, family, and friends.
