PVCH Recognizes Lexi Lemuz as First‑Ever BEE Award Recipient
Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is proud to recognize Lexi Lemuz, Environmental Services Associate, as the recipient of PVCH’s first‑ever BEE Award. BEE stands for Being Excellent Every Day and honors non‑nursing team members whose work and compassion make a meaningful difference for our patients, families, and care teams.
Just as a DAISY cannot thrive without a BEE, our nurses and patients rely on the important work done by team members like Lexi. Environmental Services plays a vital role in patient safety and healing by ensuring rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized so patients can focus on healing. While this work often happens quietly and behind the scenes, its impact is felt every day throughout the hospital.
What makes Lexi’s work especially meaningful is the care she brings into every room. A recent nomination shared how Lexi went beyond her daily responsibilities by taking the time to truly connect with a patient during their stay. She offered conversation, kindness, and friendship during a difficult moment. Because of Lexi, that patient felt more than just safe in a clean room, they felt genuinely cared for.
Patients, families, and associates are encouraged to nominate non‑nursing team members who demonstrate extraordinary dedication. Presented annually during Hospital Week, BEE Award recipients receive a BEE Award pin, a certificate of excellence, and a crystal award.
Lexi’s compassion, attention to detail, and genuine concern for others reflect what it truly means to Be Excellent Every Day. We are grateful for the difference she makes and proud to honor her with PVCH’s first BEE Award. Congratulations, Lexi.
